Update on Afghan Pashtun knife attackers in Germany

The news spread that on 22 January 2025, a man from Afghanistan attacked a kindergartengroup in Aschaffenburg, Germany, in which two people died, including a 2-year-old toddler and a 41-year-old man. At least 2 to 3 other people were wounded in that attack. On 11 February 2025 Bild newspaper made the name of the perpetrator public. His name is Enamullah Omarzai. While Enamullah could be used as a name by any ethnic group in Afghanistan, Omarzai is an only-Pashtun Sunni surname. The Taliban belongs to the Pashtun ethnicity as well, and oppress all non-Pashtun ethnicities systematically. Although German police claimes that Omarzai is mentally ill, it can't be ruled out that he is a Taliban member simulating mental illness, or that he even is a Taliban member with a mental illness. Accordingto the Bavarian Interior Ministry, the man's ex-partner, a Ukrainian woman, was found injured on 29 August 2024 - but did not want to say that the injuries wer caused by Omarzai. It was already mentioned by some experts that another Afghan man who stabbed a German policeman to death was likely a Taliban member, which was shown through his professional martial arts skills.

The problem with the media is that they don’t differentiate between the different ethnicities in Afghanistan, Pashtun, Hazara, Tajik, Uzbek. All people from Afghans are listed under “Afghans”. It is necessary to differentiate between the different ethnic groups and to name the respective ethnicity to find the motives of such crimes. A better policy can only reached through these particular schemes.

There was another case of Pashtun man Abdul Mohammad Tukhi who killed his wife on 17 November 2020 and fled Germany most probably towards Afghanistan. German police is still searching for him.

Taliban sleeper cells in the West
Taliban meeting in November 2023 in Germany proved that The Taliban have many supporters among Pashtungs in the West, which is not surprising. Many local Pashtuns follow the strict tribal Pashtunwali code, which discriminates against women and non-Pashtun people. The Taliban follow a tribal Islam, which is called Deobandi. Deobandism is a mix between  radical Arab/Saudi Wahabism/Salafism and Pashtun tribalism (Pashtunwali).

Afghan experts have long warned that the Taliban have already reached Europe. There are many videos online showing Pashtun supporters of the Taliban in the West, i.e. in Germany, in Canada and elsewhere. The staff of the German consulate in Munich is pro Taliban, according to media reports. There are many pro-Taliban lobbyists in the West. In Germany there are people who pressure German politicians and media to talk or write in favor of the Taliban.

Taliban under severe pressure
The Taliban are already fighting for their survival while their high-ranking members get killed. As this article is written a bomb has killed several Taliban members near a bank in Kunduz according to media reports: "The latest attack came two months after a suicide bombing in Kabul killed Khalil Haqqani, the Taliban refugee minister and two others. It was the most brazen attack on a member of the Taliban inner circle since they returned to power."

Germany as a center for Taliban activity in the West
The question arises, why so many terrorist and homicide attacks by Afghans happen in Germany and why no other Western country faces these kind of crimes by Afghans. As mentioned before, the Taliban have many Pashtun followers in Germany. They follow Taliban's orders.
The Taliban are under severe pressure. The mainstream media so far keep a low profile on anti-Taliban resistance and won't report on Taliban's final struggles, yet.
This comes as some media have already started to criticise the German government for sending financial aid to the Taliban. Germany's minister for foreign affairs Annalena Baerbock (The Greens party) is responsible for both bringing Pashtun Afghans from Pakistan to Germany and giving financial aid to the Taliban. According to media reports between 2022 and 2025 Germany foreign ministry transferred 24000 Afghans from Pakistan to Germany.

Many of the migrants claim to have been born in Kabul but there are reports that many are not even Afghan but Pakistani citizens and those who are Afghan are mainly Pashtun, those who are not discriminated against by the Taliban in Afghanistan. Most of the have probably never seen Kabul. Also on 11 February 2025 Welt has published an article with the title "When hundreds of millions of German tax money go to Afghanistan". It writes there: "Afghanistan receives a lot of money from Germany – but women in particular have almost no rights there."
(German original: "Wenn Hunderte Millionen deutsches Steuergeld an Afghanistan gehen
Afghanistan bekommt sehr viel Geld von Deutschland – doch gerade Frauen sind dort fast rechtelos.")

Germany is getting closer to election day. What will happen next and what will the current German government (SPD and The Greens), which is about to losing upcoming elections, do next? Isn't it astonishing that before 2015 many Afghans lived in Germany and not one such terrorist or homicide attack were reported by the media?
