Pakistan tries to fool US president Trump about the 2021 Kabul airport bombing
Once again
Pakistan has made a brilliant move by trying to get the USA on its side through
lying and conspiracy against Afghans. It seems that Pakistani leaders,
including the persons in charge of its intelligence service ISI, are not
stupid.
On 5 March 2025 Pakistani intelligence officers once again claimed to have helped the USA by arresting a top ISIS terrorist and handed him over to the USA, where he was taken into U.S. custody. The man called Mohammad Sharifullah is a suspect in the plotting of the Abbey Gate bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan on 26 August 2021. On that day, at 17:50 local time, a suicide bomber called Abdul Rahman al-Logari (which is not an Afghan name) attacked crowds of Afghans flocking to Kabul’s airport. Besides 13 U.S. service members, about 170 Afghans were also killed in the attack.
The U.S. Department of Defense has posted about the Kabul airport attack on 15 April 2024...
with U.S. paratroopers of 82nd Airborne Division conducting security.
The article
in the website of the U.S. Department of Defense mentions the following:
"Al-Logari was one of thousands of ISIS-K members the Taliban released
from a pair of detention centers in mid-August 2021, according to another Army
team official."
That
article tries to imply that the complex attack on the well guarded Kabul
airport was planned and organized by a freshly released ISIS terrorist within
days (just think about it, how that might be possible).
Again, the perpetrator was not a Pakistani but an Afghan citizen according to Pakistani officials: “Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz) Sharif said Pakistan’s security forces apprehended Sharifullah, an Afghan national, “in a successful operation conducted in Pakistan-Afghan border region.”” This announcement seems to be another hoax by Pakistan and tries to conceal Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism and the support of Taliban via its Madrasas. It is a slap in the face of all the family members who lost their loved ones in terrorist attacks.
Pakistan's
story seems to be literally a joke for the following reasons:
-Pakistan
itself has been the root cause for terrorism in Afghanistan and elsewhere for
decades, as it harbored many terrorists, including Osama bin Laden, the arch
enemy of the USA.
-Everyone
who has experienced the chaotic situation in Pakistan knows well enough that
there is zero chance to find a random terrorist guy in Pakistan.
-Pakistan
has more Pashtuns than Afghanistan; how can it differentiate between Afghan and
Pakistani Pashtuns and figure out, it was that one terrorist which perpetuated
the Abbey Gate bombing? Of course Pakistan can’t and isn't even willing to
do it sincerely, neither technically, nor ideologically.
-It's a
move by Pakistan to defame Afghans and Afghanistan and to whitewash Taliban
(who is Pakistan’s ally and proxy in Afghanistan)
-Pakistan
has emerged as a protégé of the Taliban in the past and this time it won't be
different.
It's likely
that Trump himself won't fall for Pakistan's double game and that he's probably
only playing the game with Pakistan to get more information inside Pakistan's
terrorist camps. Of course, the Trump administration needs success stories like
all his predecessors. But in case Trump falls for Pakistan's trap set for him,
he should ask himself the following questions:
-Why was
the terrorist in Pakistan? According to media reports Sharifullah also co-plotted
the Moscow terrorist attack in 2024: "During his FBI interrogation,
Sharifullah also said he had shared firearms and weapons instructions before a
March 2024 attack at a Moscow concert hall that was also carried out by ISIS-K
and killed scores of people, authorities said." It seems that Pakistan is
a hub for preparation of terrorist attacks.
-Why are
terrorist suspects in Pakistan never Pakistani but other nationals?
-How is it
possible for Pakistani corrupted police to find an Afghan top terrorist in the
midst of the Pakistani overpopulated border area, which is full of terrorists?
Pakistan probably just presented another pawn sacrifice. It has never been a reliable partner for anyone. Whom does Pakistan want to fool in this case? Of course, it will beg for more money and arms from the USA to “fight terrorism”. Thus, Pakistan obviously presents its own fake success stories.
