Increase in military attacks against Taliban in Afghanistan
With the increase of terrorist attacks against Afghan civilians from ethnic minorities the question arises, whether the Taliban will soon face a storm of public anger. This question becomes even more essential, as in recent days, military attacks against the Taliban in different provinces and cities of Afghanistan have increased dramatically.
According to reports, most of these attacks were carried out by the "Afghanistan Freedom Front", which consists of forces and military commanders of the former Afghan government. According to the published announcements, this front has carried out at least 15 attacks against the Taliban in Kabul, Parwan, Takhar, Baghlan, Laghman and Kapisa provinces in the last ten days.
On the other hand, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has also announced attacks against the Taliban in Kabul, Badakhshan and Kunduz in recent days. In some cases, this front has announced that it has carried out its attacks against the Taliban by "laying mines" and has remotely detonated vehicles carrying Taliban forces.
The anti-Taliban fronts claim that in every attack they carry out against the Taliban, several members of this group's forces are killed and wounded. But the Taliban never confirm the death of their forces in these attacks and in many cases they do not even confirm the occurrence of such attacks.
Citizens and political activists of Afghanistan say that the increase in military attacks against the Taliban shows the growing "dissatisfaction" of the people with the Taliban. A number of Afghan political activists believe that the people are tired of the "oppressive„“ and "discriminatory" policies of the Taliban in the last two years, and their children have worked in the security institutions of the previous regime. Let them show this discontent with military attacks and start the process of "overthrow" of this group.
Heshmat Radfar, a journalist from Afghanistan, believes that the increase in attacks against the Taliban indicates the "intensification of dissatisfaction" against the "dominant" and "tyrannical" regime of the Taliban. He added that "the more the number and geographical scope of attacks against the Taliban increases, the more it affects public opinion and especially the neglect of Taliban crimes by the international community."
Until now, the countries of the world and the region have not supported the military opposition to the Taliban and the overthrow of this group through military attacks, but the requests among Afghan citizens to overthrow this group through force and military power are increasing every day. Afghan citizens say that the last two years have shown that the Taliban are not ready to accept civility, citizenship culture and equal rights for citizens and to abandon extremism and fanaticism, and for this reason, the only way is to overthrow this group through military means.
