Taliban's Hypocrisy Towards Crimes Of Their Own Members Vs. Draconic Punishments Of Other Afghans

Many of the members of the terrorist Taliban group are currently committing various crimes, among which are severe human rights abuses against Afghan civilians. Their crimes mostly remain unpunished for the only reason of them being Taliban members and even the international community remains silent about them.

Sources in Bamiyan confirmed that Samiullah, the Darul Uloom teacher of this province, who is a relative of one of the officials of the Taliban, has kidnapped a female student of this religious education center and has absconded with her.

A source told the daily information on Tuesday, 19 September 2023 that the man who has kidnapped the female student is called Samiullah and that he is the nephew of Farooqullah Farooqi. Farooqullah Farooqi is the head of Islamic education of the Taliban's Department of Education in Bamiyan. They have moved to Bamiyan from the village of "Jalmish Ghandak" in Shiber district.

According to the source, Samiullah run off with a girl who is a 10th grade student of Darul Uloom Bamiyan on Saturday, 17 August 2023. The source said that this girl is the original resident of Yekevelang district and lived in Khashakk village in the center of Bamiyan. According to the source, this girl is a Hazara and a Shiite.

 

The source added that Farooqi himself is involved in the case of this girl's running off and he took this girl to Kabul with his car. Farooqi did not respond to the message of the reporter of the daily newspaper, in this regard.

 

The reporter of the daily information shared this issue with the head of education of the Taliban in Bamiyan, but the Taliban official claimed that this incident happened about six or seven months ago and that the girl was not kidnapped, but left on her own, and there are no problems from the Shari'i point of view (Islamic point of view).

 

The elopement of a young girl with a young boy for the purpose of marriage has already existed in some provinces and is even common in some regions. The Taliban currently consider this a crime. In the past two years, this group has repeatedly announced the arrest of boys and girls for the crime of "running away from home" and tried these people and flogged them in public.
