Will the USA declare anti-Taliban opposition as terrorist group to help the Taliban?

Is there a chance that the USA declares the anti-Taliban opposition around Ahmad Massoud, leader of the National Resistance Front, as a terrorist group?

The USA can declare certain groups or personalities as terrorists from one day to the next and this has been done by US politicians in the past. There is a chance that the USA declares the National Resistance Front as a terrorist organization for violently fighting the Taliban. The question is, how high the probability for that move is? The simple answer is that the probability is very high.

Just by observing the language and the political decisions of the US government, the USA seems to favor the Taliban over any other group in Afghanistan.

There are a number of reasons for those pro-Taliban policies of the USA:

1) Pakistan and Arab states of the Persian Gulf are all staunch allies of the USA. Pakistan, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia support the Taliban officially or unofficially and they pressure other allies to follow them in supporting the Taliban. They all do it for different reasons, i.e. maintaining their influence in that reason, supporting their Sunni brothers, who oppress Shia Muslims, which all the mentioned Muslim countries do as well.

2) According to reliable reports the USA helped the Taliban regain power in Afghanistan. Multiple articles and news reports prove this point. Whoever has followed the news concerning Afghanistan is well aware of how the Doha agreement brought the Taliban to power. There is growing evidence that the USA did this on purpose to use the Taliban as allies in that region.

Several videos prove this point, two of which are linked below:

U.S. President Biden: Taliban Help USA - True Reason Why USA Brought The Taliban Back

The US government doesn't even mention the Taliban as a terrorist organization, although many of the Taliban cabinet members are listed by the USA itself as terrorists, as mentioned in many news articles, like in a New York Times article. In the second video linked above, US president Biden speaks of Taliban terrorists as "Taliban war commanders".

The USA has so far supported the Taliban with manpower (releasing at several thousand Taliban members as part of a deal), arms and cash. Some of its support is mentioned in another post.

3) Zalmay Khalilzad is a former US envoy to Afghanistan and is a supporter of the Taliban. Some details of his support has been mentioned in another post on this blog.

The USA is still mainly relying on him as an advisor concerning its Afghanistan policies.

4) Traditionally the USA have never given non-Pashtun/Tajik Afghans any chance in forming or leading the government of Afghanistan. This has been the case during monarchy when Zahir Shah was the king of Afghanistan and later when the USA financed and armed the Pashtun Mujahideen to fight against the Soviet Army. Lately this policy was shown when the USA installed Pashtun Hamid Karzai as president of Afghanistan, despite the fact that Tajik Afghans from the Northern Alliance defeated the Taliban within a few months in Afghanistan. Later Pashtun Ashraf Ghani was given preference as the president of Afghanistan despite the lack of his popularity with the Afghan population. The USA made sure that his successor became Pashtun Taliban and no Tajik ruler. Any partition of Afghanistan into non-Pashtun north and Pashtun south gets prevented by US politicians for that same reason.

Conclusion

All in all the USA wants to show the world that their policies, which brought back the Taliban to power, was justified and that the Taliban, who are ethnic Pashtuns, are a reliable group. The Taliban have to stay in power to carry out the interests f the USA, as proven in the videos above. For that reason a ban of anti-Taliban groups seem a means to stop the emerging of doubts in the minds of the people/public. The only way to ban a group is by declaring it a so-called terrorist group or linking it with another terrorist group, i.e. ISIS. If that happens, anti-Taliban resistance groups, especially the National Resistance Front and its leader Ahmad Massoud can be sanctioned and even be fought against. Believe it or not, the USA might be considering declaring the National Resistance Front either as a terrorist organization or linked to a terrorist organization, i.e. the ISIS. To sum it up in one sentence, Tajik politicians have never had and will never have any chance within the political establishment of the USA as they are considered as foes of the USA.
